1. Acceptance

By using beep.me you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The Service

beep.me is a reminder platform that lets users subscribe to upcoming events, launches, deadlines, and other time-sensitive information. Businesses can use beep.me to create reminders and embed reminder widgets on their websites.

3. Accounts and Handles

You may create an account using your email address. You may optionally choose a handle (username) for your profile.

3.1 Handle Policy

Handles are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the following:

• beep.me reserves the right to reclaim, reassign, or suspend any handle at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
  • Trademark or intellectual property conflicts
  • Impersonation of individuals, businesses, or organizations
  • Handle squatting — registering handles with the intent to sell, extort, or block the rightful owner
  • Inactivity for an extended period
  • Violation of these terms
• Verified businesses and organizations may claim handles that correspond to their registered name or trademark by contacting us.
• You may not register handles that are misleading, offensive, or intended to impersonate others.
• beep.me is not liable for any losses resulting from handle reclamation or reassignment.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Create beeps with false, misleading, or harmful content
• Use the service for spam, phishing, or harassment
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with the operation of the service
• Scrape or bulk-collect data from the service without permission

5. Content

Beeps created by users or businesses remain the responsibility of their creators. beep.me does not guarantee the accuracy of reminder dates, event information, or any content on the platform. beep.me may remove content that violates these terms.

6. Notifications and Email

By subscribing to beeps, you consent to receiving email notifications related to those beeps (reminders, date confirmations, updates). You can unsubscribe from individual beeps at any time. We will never sell your email address to third parties.

7. Business Accounts

Business accounts are subject to additional terms regarding API usage, subscriber limits, and pricing as described on our business page. beep.me reserves the right to modify pricing and plan limits with reasonable notice.

8. Privacy

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. In short: we store your email address and subscription data to deliver reminders. We don't sell your data.

9. Limitation of Liability

beep.me is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for missed reminders, incorrect event information, or any damages arising from the use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Oslo, Norway.
