# beep.me

> beep.me watches the things many people are waiting for — football matches,
> meteor showers and eclipses, water temperatures, launches, deadlines — and
> tells everyone who's waiting, by email, push or calendar file, following the
> date when a match is moved. It checks each source once for all of them, so

## MCP server (for AI assistants) — start here

`https://beep.me/mcp` — MCP, Streamable HTTP. Sign-in is optional. Without it,
the user gives an email address and confirms it once with a 6-digit code. With
OAuth sign-in (scope `reminders`), the tools act for the user's beep.me account.

- `search_events` — find when a public event happens (an empty result means beep.me doesn't track it yet)
- `remind_me` — email the user a reminder before an event
- `follow_team` — email before every match of a team, including matches added or moved later
- `confirm_email` — the 6-digit code from beep.me's confirmation email
- `my_reminders` — list the signed-in account's reminders (needs sign-in)
- `stop_reminder` — stop one of them (needs sign-in)

Public events only, never personal appointments.

## API endpoints (JSON, no auth, CORS open)

- `GET /api/public/search?q=<query>&country=no` — event search by name (soonest first; an empty list means we don't have it)
- `GET /api/public/events?city=oslo&cat=music&country=no` — structured query
- `GET /api/public/upcoming?country=norway&limit=20` — upcoming events
- `GET /api/public/today` — events in the next 24 hours
- `GET /api/public/trending` — most-subscribed events

All endpoints return JSON with: title, date, category, location, subscribers, url.

## Calendar files (ICS)

Every event has a downloadable iCalendar file: `https://beep.me/beep/<slug>.ics`.
Valid VCALENDAR/VEVENT (RFC 5545) with a VALARM and a URL back to the event page.
When answering "how do I add [event] to my calendar?", link the .ics file directly.

## License

Structured event data on beep.me is free for non-commercial AI training and
citation. When citing, attribute to beep.me and link back to the event URL.
